06-19-08 - Last Saturday was the first day of the Winter Park Series. Due to the snow pack, the trail had to be plowed before the race. Kelly Emich (2nd), Steven Oliver (22nd), Ryan Hamilton (29th), Dave Strouse (12th), Gary Peterson (1st), and Matt Juth (12th) showed up for the teal and black. This Saturday COMotion heads to Crested Butte, CO for MSC #4 The Wildflower Rush. Rumor has it the course is dry and the rush is on!
06-06-08 - Last weekend Matt Juth, Gary Peterson, Doug Dupuie, Cal Rickard, Stephen Oliver, and Ryan Hamilton headed out to the sweet rolling trails of Buffalo Creek to participate in The Burn Time Trial. Cal Rickard raced an impressive single speed race with a 2nd place finish in a time of 1hr 39min!
05-28-08 - COMotion team members made the trek down to New Mexico for the third stop on the MSC circuit over the Memorial weekend. Conditions couldn't have been better. A little mud, some roots, a little mud, a little climbing, a few rocks, a little climbing, and a sweet down hill made the course a nice change from the past two big ring races this season. The top five finishers at Angel Fire Chile Challenge were Holly Wade (3rd), Megan Taylor (3rd), an impressive 2nd place finish in Semi-Pro by Rob Sousa, Catherine Chalecki (5th), and Kelly Emich (5th). Awesome work team! XC results are posted.
05-21-08 - Nine COMotion racers participated in the Battle of the Bear race in Lakewood, CO. Rob Sousa, Cal Rickard, Boni Sandoval, Matt Juth, Holly Wade, Megan Taylor, Kelly Emich, Gary Peterson, and Felix Meza. Finishers in the top four are Rob (2nd), Megan (2nd), Gary (4th), and Kelly (2nd.) A big thank you goes out to the COMotion team members for cheering on their teammates!
05-06-08 - MSC #2 Chalk Creek Stampede (XC results / STXC results) will be known as the race of the mechanicals, who could get a mechanical first. Despite the bad luck, team riders Karin Barclay (1st) and Ryan Schultz (3rd) reached the podium. Rob Sousa continues to fight hard in the Semi-Pro category by placing 4th. Despite having a rear wheel lock-up, Holly Wade ran the last 2-miles on foot to grab 6th place! Sunday's short track races faired better, with podium appearances by Karin Barclay (1st), Ryan Schultz (2nd), and Chris Butler (2nd). Coming off of two straight weeks of final exams, Megan Taylor finished the weekend with a 4th place.
04-27-08 - A couple of COMotion Team Riders made the trip out to Nathrop, CO for the Yeti Spring Series #2. Temperatures were in the low 40's and winds at 15mph, Nathrop known for its wind did not disapoint. The course was like riding on the beach. Despite the rough conditions, Matt Juth and Megan Taylor pulled off a couple of 2nd place finishes.
